- Abstract
The article presents information on the federal government's oversight on oil drilling in the U.S. It includes information on lack of national energy policy in the U.S. to tackle the incidents such as oil seeping accidents in Gulf of Mexico that occurred after 2010 Deepwater Horizon explosion and also informs about the government agency U.S. Minerals Management Service that collects royalties from oil and gas companies based on how they use the federal land and offshore reserves.
