- Abstract
The article offers information on the legal issues determining the requirements for acquisition of licenses for access to the public domain and copyrighted music by the interactive and non-interactive radio broadcasters such as Spotify Ltd. and Pandora Media Inc. under the application of the U.S. Copyright Act. Topics discussed include statutory licensing scheme and business model of Pandora, merits and demerits of the Internet Radio Fairness Act, and collective licensing.
