- Abstract
The article looks into the definition of the term originality in connection with copyright protection law and the jurisdictional disparity based on the judicial interpretation of its concept in the U.S. It explores the extent to which an artistic, literary, or dramatic work needs to be original in qualitative and quantitative terms to qualify for copyright protection. It also examines the essential requirement for the originality and copyrightability of a work.
