Four earthquakes hit two remote areas of Tibet.
Abstract
The article reports on the occurrence of two earthquakes in Gerze County of Ngari Prefecture and Motuo County of Linzhi Prefecture in January 2008 in Tibet, China. According to the Tibetan Seismological Bureau, the first earthquake measures 6.9 degrees on the Richter Scale happened in Gerze County. In January 18, many houses collapsed and damaged but there was no death or personal injuries reported.
