- Abstract
The aims of the present study were to optimize the purification parameters to obtain high purity polyphenols from Boletus edulis, and the antioxidant activities of polyphenols were also investigated. The purification experimental results showed that D101 resin was suitable for the purification of polyphenols from B. edulis. The optimal purification conditions were determined as follows: the sample concentration of 9 mg/mL, the sample solution velocity of 1.0 mL/min, elution concentration of 70% and desorption flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, under these conditions, the concentration of polyphenols was increased from 0.54 ± 0.02 to 4.89 ± 0.11 mg/g, and the purity was 3.5 times higher than that crude extract. The antioxidant activities of the purified polyphenols were significantly increased, and the IC50 values of DPPH·, ·OH, O2·− and ABTS·+ scavenging activity were 99.35, 1793.66, 1169.62, and 543.26 μg/mL, respectively. Results indicated that polyphenols from B. edulis had potential antioxidant activities and was beneficial for human health.
