- Title
OF BLOOD AND BLINDNESS: ISLAM AND HUGUENOT IDENTITY IN AUBIGNÉ'S "JUGEMENT" (TRAGIQUES VII).
- Authors
KELLER, MARCUS
- Abstract
A literary criticism of the poem "Jugement" of "Les Tragiques" by Agrippa d'Aubigné is presented. It examines the concept of the Turk or the Muslim in the battle of vilification between Catholics and Huguenots in 16th-century France. Both used the terms to vilify the other side. The article examines the use of these concepts in "Jugement."
