- Abstract
This document discusses the integration of advanced technologies and algorithms to enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of network systems in various application areas such as smart cities, smart homes, industrial automation, and transportation systems. The special issue focuses on future complex cyber-physical networks (CCPNs) and smart sensors, with a particular emphasis on control and optimization strategies. The document provides a summary of 10 original research articles and 1 review article that were accepted for publication in the special issue, covering topics such as remote sensing image recognition, fusion filtering, transmission line planning, optimal filtering for sensor networks, traversal exploration and path coverage, map-merging for UAVs, area coverage control for robot networks, adaptive deskewing algorithm for document images, intelligent positioning for climbing robots, and pneumatic control of valve position. The review article discusses recent developments and methodologies for the secure control of complex cyber-physical networks. The authors express their gratitude to the authors and reviewers for their contributions and acknowledge the support of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Office of Sensors.
