- Abstract
The article reports on research which was conducted to compare the energy expenditure of older patients who underwent traditional physiotherapy with those who underwent physiotherapy using the Nintendo Wii-Fit exergame system. Researchers evaluated 20 older adults. They found that oxygen consumption, heart rate, energy expenditure and metabolic equivalents were higher in subjects who underwent traditional physiotherapy.
