- Abstract
The article presents a randomized study involving the clinical testing of patients who underwent esophagectomy. The researchers conducted the study in an attempt to investigate tracheal acid aspiration and to find out whether it has been influenced by nasogastric (NG) drainage. The researchers recommended the necessity of routine NG drainage after esophagectomy. They suggested that sump-type NG tube exhibited efficiency in preventing tracheal acid aspiration.
