- Abstract
The current article capitalizes on sociocultural history contributions as regards to unravel the meanings of a particular case: the performance of women teachers in moments of strikes and claims. We position ourselves in a bounded localregional reality: the town of Firmat in Santa Fe, Argentina. In these terms, the journalistic speeches of Santa Fe press are discussed attentive to the groups of women on strike: they supported them, but mostly sought to destabilize them however, by means of a pendular game, the teachers will use this to spread a rumor as a tactic of empowerment. The purpose: delegitimize and discredit those who accused them for their actions.
