Monetary Policy Roundtable.
Abstract
A conference paper about the issues that affect the design and operation of monetary policy in Great Britain is presented. It presents views from participants on the economic performance of Great Britain compared to Japan from 1990 and 2005. It tackles balance sheet problem in Great Britain by raising inflation target from 2% to 4%. It also discussed the effectiveness of quantitative easing (QE) and developments in emerging market economies.
