- Abstract
The article focuses on a survey assessing how active the journalists of radio and television are in journalism classes in the United States. The survey conducted in 1976 aims to fill the gap between the class room and the real news world. It reveals that almost 99 per cent television and 96 per cent radio practitioners do visit the class rooms. But among the journalism educators only half could visit the newsrooms. The survey shows that more than half of the television and four of every five radio-only newsrooms were not visited by any broadcast journalism educators within a 12 months time.
