- Abstract
An editorial is presented on the role of cluster of differentiation 36 (CD36) in oxidized phospholipid-driven lung injury, exploring mechanisms of inflammation induced by truncated oxidized phospholipids (Tr-OxPLs). Topics discussed include the distinct mechanisms of OxPLs and Tr-OxPLs, the recognition of OxPLs by scavenger receptors, Toll-like receptors, and the therapeutic potential of the peptide L37-pA in mitigating Tr-OxPL-induced lung injury.
