The article focuses on the use of next-generation immunohistochemistry (IHC) for the clinical research. Topics discussed include combination of mass spectroscopy with immunohistochemistry for quantitative imaging of tissue samples, assessment of a single protein's expression using chromogens such as DAB3 and use of primary antibody for protein detection is conjugated to a lanthanide metal. Also mentions that the combination tool helps in the in situ detection of RNA and DNA.
