- Abstract
The article discusses the significant contributions of geology professor and folk singer Bill Sarjeant to folk music in Canada. Although he had no formal musical education as a child, he regards music as an outlet to balance his professional career and personal life. After serving as President of the Nottingham Cooperative Folk Workshop for a period of time, he went to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to perform at private functions and singing circles. Details about his collection of musical references and records are also presented.
