An interview with Richard Johnston, founding member of the Canadian Folk Music Society (CFMS) is presented. When asked about his attraction to folk songs, he says that his interest in these songs is attributable to his Scandinavian background. He describes his relationship with Edith Fowke, a Canadian folklorist. He recalls how the Saskatchewan Power Corporation got involved with the society.
