- Abstract
The article reports on the role of FtsZ in determining cell morphology aside from regulating bacterial cell division. The study observed that Escherichia coli cells with less multiple penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) have placed inappropriately. It demonstrates a connection between the regulation of bacterial cell division and the determination of cell morphology. It also examines the effects of PBP genes mutations leading to increasing abnormalities.
