- Abstract
The article presents a study which analyzed the targeted health interventions for saving lives of mothers, newborns and children in sub-Saharan Africa. The mortality reduction for 42 sub-Saharan African countries is estimated with high coverage of maternal, neonatal and children health (MNCH) intervention. The study reveals 486, 000 estimated lives costing an additional US$1.21 per capita will be saved if there is 20% coverage increase for selected community-based health interventions.
