- Abstract
The article discusses role of N‑terminal (NT)‑Pro brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) to differentiate syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion and cerebral salt wasting syndrome. It mentions information on challenges in differentiating secretion of antidiuretic hormone (SIADH) from cerebral salt wasting (CSW). It states that renin‑angiotensin‑aldosterone axis gets activated in response to hypovolemia.
