In The News.
- Abstract
The article presents news briefs from the scientific community as of November 2013. A study by Gabriella Lakatos of the Hungarian Academy of Science found that dogs react sociably towards social robots, regardless of their similarities to the appearances of humans. Scientists from the University of Cambridge have discovered a natural example of a functioning gear mechanism in the juvenile Issus, a European insect. Research from Thomas Götz and Madeleine Bieg found that despite reporting it more often, girls are not actually more anxious during mathematics classes.
