- Abstract
The article offers tips for science teachers on how to improve their science teaching. Teachers are advised to share their goals and rationale with parents by assigning science homeworks. Teachers are also encouraged to have a science-rich environments in order to help students develop literacy skills. In addition, teachers should inculcate in their mind that families want to help, but appreciate specific guidance from teachers about what they can do to help. Teachers should also build on the experiences of parents and families with nature.
