- Title
Communicating About Collections.
- Abstract
The article discusses the art of collecting things. Accordingly, children are fond of collecting all kinds of things, from sticks to colorful leaves to trading cards. However, to encourage them to incline in the art of collecting, the teacher may bring books into the classroom and read aloud a few pages which discusses the subject of collection. The teacher may likewise display a collection, as it could trigger the interest of the students to do the same thing. But, as alleged, the teacher must instill to the minds of the students that collecting does not necessary mean purchasing or buying those things to be considered a collector. The teacher, for instance, may suggest that a collection can be made of pictures cut from the newspaper or magazines.
