- Authors
Persons, Charles E.
- Abstract
The article offers information on the teaching and study of economics in the U.S. The author claims that the principles of education on economics were mainly American ideals because of their advantages to the democracy of the country. He notes that the aims of the fundamental course in economics include training the minds of citizens in order for them to have economic reasoning abilities, as well as producing citizens. He claims that teachers are the central figure and focus in the educational structure, not just in economics education.
