- Abstract
The article focuses on the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) scandal of manipulating interest rates with the allegations of the U.S. antitrust law and the applicabilty of the section 1 of the Sherman Act to the LIBOR manipulation. Topics discussed include basis of LIBOR manipulation on the settlement of banking company Barclays with Great Britain Financial Services Authority (FSA), extraterritorial application of section 1 and requirement of unreasonable restraint of trade with cartels.
