- Abstract
Plagioclase is one of the most common rock-forming minerals in igneous rocks. Affected by the type of rock produced and the physical and chemical conditions during its formation, phenocryst plagioclase can develop a variety of ring structures. And structural models have been widely used in the study of magma evolution, inversion of magma mixing and so on. In this paper, the phenocryst plagioclase zoning structure types are divided into three types: simple zoning structure, rhythmic zoning structure and erosion-type zoning structure; the erosion-type zoning structure is further divided into crystal internal erosion structure and There are two subcategories of the interlayer crystal surface erosion structure, and the sketches of the different erosion structures of the core in the internal erosion structure of the crystal and the different shapes of the core edge in the interlayer crystal surface erosion structure are drawn. The causes and research progress of different types of plagioclase ring structures are summarized, and it is believed that the study of phenocryst plagioclase ring structure and the characteristics of core, mantle and edge is of great significance for understanding magmatism.
