- Abstract
The article explores the study "A Functional Circuit Underlying Male Sexual Behavior in the Female Mouse Brain," by T. Kimchi and colleagues. Here, researchers show the importance of vomeronasal neurons that express Trpc2, an ion channel exclusively expressed in the vomeronasal organ (VNO), on female-specific traits in mating and on mice's social behavior. They found out that female mice which do not express TrpcS or lack VNO display male-like courtship and sexual behavior.
