Title
CAMEROON-NIGERIA: Bakassi Agreement.
Abstract
The article reports on the boundary resolutions between Cameroon and Nigeria. In a deal negotiated by the United Nations, Nigeria has agreed to hand over the oil-rich Bakassi peninsula to Cameroon. Nigeria has a month to withdraw all of its troops based in the area. The dispute over the peninsula almost brought the two countries to war in 1981.
