The article discusses the work of the American poet Ed Dorn, with particular focus given to the themes of nature, North America, and materiality in his work. His short story collection "Some Business Recently Transacted in the White World" and the poem "Idaho Out" are also critiqued, and his association with the Black Mountain poetry movement is touched on.
