- Abstract
Objective: To analyze the scientific evidence which are the main nursing prescriptions for the prevention of Pressure Injury. Methodology: This is an Integrative Literature Review, which is divided into six interactive and interdependent stages, through the identification and screening of articles and research. Articles BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE, IBECS, BINACIS and LIPECS databases, the following descriptors were used as selection criteria: Pressure injury, Nursing, Risk factors and elderly. Results: 1,252 studies published in the last 5 years were found, with the selection criteria 18 articles were chosen to compose the research. The performance and role of nursing in the elaboration of strategies and care plans, in addition to practices, behaviors and interaction in the team, aiming at a holistic health, were fundamental pillars for the prevention of pressure injury. Conclusion: The study, therefore, evidenced the identification of risk factors, the implementation of Systematization of Nursing Care and Nursing Process are essential in the care provided to the patient, as they are scientifically based and effective care in quality care. Where the nursing team, through a critical analysis, manages to develop a clinical reasoning and prevent possible cases pressure injury.
