A fiber-optic sensor for microbioreactors has been developed and manufactured that records pH changes in the range from 6.5 to 9 with an accuracy of ±0.2 for small volumes of liquid. The principle of detection is based on measuring the degree of absorption of LED radiation as it passes through a controlled environment with an indicator. Phenol red is used as a biocompatible indicator.
