- Abstract
The article discusses a study that reviewed a new rapid bacterial counting device to evaluate wound cleansing based on dielectrophoretic impedance measurement. It discusses the use of the DESIGN-R tool to assess the severity of pressure ulcers based on the parameters such as granulation tissue, necrotic tissue and undermining size. The article includes information on the quantification of bacteria and the efficacy of the device in wound cleansing to promote infection control and healing.
