ONS Clinical Mail Service Finds Answers to Those Tough Clinical Questions.
- Abstract
The article presents information on the Clinical Mail, through which ONS nursing staff from the Education Cancer Care Issues Team respond to questions about oncology care issues. These nurses all are master's prepared with education and experience in oncology care as well as access to excellent resources. Queries can be submitted by ONS members, other oncology healthcare providers, patients, families and members of the public. Clinical Mail questions cover a wide variety of topics. Some of the most common questions relate to safe handling of hazardous drugs, caring for patients with cancer who are pregnant, vesicant administration and extravasation care.
