- Abstract
An essay is presented which explores historical examples of the struggle of Christians and their fight to end religious persecution. Topics discussed include the transformation of the Roman Empire after Roman Emperor Constantine became a Christian, the claims for religious freedom in Europe during the Enlightenment period, and the amendment of anti-clerical articles in the Constitution of Mexico in the late 20th century.
