- Abstract
The article offers information on the reasons, motivations, and consequences of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church's participation in the ecumenical movement. It notes that the ecumenical activity of the Church has been initiated, pursued, and controlled by the Communist State and its State Security Service, which is responsible for the surveillance of clergy. It adds that the Bulgarian ecumenical representatives was tasked to support communist propaganda involving the third-world.
