- Abstract
The article focuses on the study of the postnatally cytomegalovirus-infected infant with repeated bacterial sepsis. Topics discussed include female infant weighing 510 g was delivered vaginally at 22 weeks and 3 days of gestation due to spontaneous rupture of the membranes; and the mother was gravida 2 para 1, and no signs of infection were detected, although a cytomegalovirus (CMV) serology test was not performed during previous prenatal care visits.
