The article focuses on the establishment of a mini-medical school program at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at University of Hawaii at Manoa. Topics discussed include the central mission of the mini-medical school which is to provide the citizens of Hawaii with current evidence-based information on the best ways to maintain health and well-being as they age, groups convened to gain input on topics in healthy aging such as community members, local aging experts and students.
