- Abstract
The article focuses on the enthusiasm of hearing children's voices in relation to divorce proceedings in country's such as Great Britain, New Zealand, and Australia, and the problems that may occur if they were not treated seriously by the family law system. It mentions studies which reveal that children's accounts are being overshadowed by adults in terms of legitimacy. Furthermore, the importance of children's understandings in the development of future policy and practice is discussed.
