The article discusses the role of certified public accountants (CPAs) with respect to tax aspects of overseas employees. Topics discussed include their part in implementing policies designed to keep an international assignee financially able, tax risks and exposures in a scenario where the payroll of a top executive employed by a U.S. parent company was split through a U.S. and local payroll and how CPAs can help management avoid unnecessary risks and expenses regarding overseas employment.
