- Abstract
A reprint of the article "Manners and Domestic Habits of the Frontier Inhabitants, in the First Settlements of Ohio," by S. P. Hildreth, which appeared in the January 1856 issue of "The Medical Counselor," is presented. Topics discussed include a description of the dress worn by settlers on the eastern branch of Duck creek near Marietta, the design of the cabin and position of the furniture, and how the settlers accommodate their guests.
