- Abstract
Based on Franz Kafka's "Letter to My Father", the present paper aims for providing an articulation between the questions exposed by the author and the generational strife among parents and children, emphasizing how the text can still be in accordance with the present days. Based on authors like Agamben, Bourdieu, Pasolini, Guattari, Deleuze and others, it is argued that, beyond a personal narrative, the "Letter" could also be an invitation for reflecting about the modern cultural legacy. An interpellation that would lead the reader into a critic exercise before his own affiliations and past addressing, in order to allow him an opening for sharing responsibility, once the rolls of parents and children are sentenced to be fulfilled while time goes by and, since time keeps on flowing, these same rolls usually change places and ideas at both sides.
