- Abstract
The article reports on the announcement by Ashland Chemical Co. that it's researchers have unlocked the secrets of aminimide chemistry, developing a family of compounds that could have major impacts in several industries. Tire cord dips, shrinkproofing agents for wool, antisnag agents for textured polyester double knits, detergents, protective coatings and cosmetics are the promising areas. The researchers of Ashland Chemical also show potential as antistatic agents, pharmaceuticals, monomers and polymers for plastics and photographic materials.
