- Abstract
An essay is presented on the depiction of post-colonialism in animated films produced by Walt Disney Pictures. The author discusses the postcolonial nature of culture and dialogues in the films "Aladdin," "The Lion King," and "Pocahontas." An overview is given of the films' characters and the Hegelian relation among them. Also discussed is the traditional approach in Disney's animation films during the early 1990s.
