- Abstract
The article considers contemporary writings which compare the Great Depression of the 1930s to the global financial crisis of 2007 and 2008, focusing particularly on the failure of monetary policies, microeconomic issues associated with bank regulations and banking systems, and factors leading to imbalances in global markets.
