- Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the perceptions of teachers about the teaching and the learning mathematics in the early years, based on the BNCC. This is a qualitative research, using Bardin's content analysis. The sample consists of 28 teachers, students of a specialization course. The analyzed data come from a discussion forum, in a virtual learning environment, and was organized into three units of analysis and 13 categories. The teachers highlighted the development of essential learning, so that the student can make use of Mathematics in a variety of contexts and reach mathematical literacy. They also pointed out the resolution and elaboration of problems, the use of teaching resources, such as concrete materials, games and technologies, and the importance of the teacher reflecting on his pedagogical practice and having access to continuing formation policies. The predisposition of teachers to study the BNCC and its implementation in the curricula is highlighted, despite the fact that they are concerned with its implementation, during the transition from one curricular proposal to another and in view of the challenges faced in the classroom.
