- Abstract
The article "What is protected in toilets? On transphobia, citizenship, and militarization" examines the transphobic attitudes of some feminist communities in Ukraine. It is noted that this transphobia is related to the feminist concept of rape culture, the binary gender regime, and the militarization of our societies. The TERF (Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminism) movement is present in Ukraine, and the feminist online community "Feminism UA" is openly trans-exclusive. The article also addresses the growing inclusion of women in the army and police in Ukraine since 2014. The authors argue that the inclusion of women will lead to structural changes in these institutions.
