- Abstract
Interdisciplinarity has been a central theme in the health field. The challenge it proposes is the applicability of interdisciplinary knowledge in health practices. This article discusses interdisciplinarity in the health context and aims to analyze, from a narrative review, the interdisciplinary work of health teams in the hospital environment. The research questions were: is it possible for the health team to work in an interdisciplinary perspective? What are the obstacles for this work to happen? What are the future possibilities for teamwork in an interdisciplinary perspective? The results show that, although possible, there are difficulties for teamwork to be effective since the dynamics of health practices in the hospital currently still privilege specialization and single professional knowledge. The reformulation of professional training is a possibility for building teamwork supported by an interdisciplinary perspective.
