- Abstract
This paper presents an item selection method in CAT (Computerized Adaptive Testing) based on association rules. According to the correct (1) or incorrect (0) answer of the examinee to each item, association rules are searched with the answered item and its result (1 or 0) as antecedent, and items with greater or lower complexity level than the responded item as a consequent, respectively. The election of the item is performed considering rules with the highest confidence and support. Finally, we include an example to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method.
