- Title
3-D solar cells promises more electricity.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a 3-dimensional (3-D) solar panel designed to produce electricity 60 times more than the traditional solar cells. The 3-D solar panel was invented by Jud Ready, senior research officer at Georgia Tech Research Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. According to an article published in the 2008 issue of "Chemical Digest," the 3-D solar panels can absorb all the light that strike it at any angle using an array of nano towers or structures. It is revealed here that Ready and his team will address the issue of high resistivity in the panel in the next phase of their research.
