- Abstract
The article presents a report Ko Aotearoa Tênei, released by the Waitangi Tribunal, New Zealand related to Wai 262 claims for intellectual property (IP). It discusses the laws showing the relationship between patents and plant variety rights (PVRs), the laws for protecting the traditional knowledge of indigenous people Maori, and compatibility of recommendations for international obligations in the light of Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights.
