Focuses on the use of participatory epidemiology in studies of the persistence of lineage 2 rinderpest virus in order to establish the origin of an outbreak of the infection which occurred in 1994 in wildlife around the Tsavo National Park in southern Kenya. results of rinderpest virus neutralization tests on sera collected from cattle; Positive predictive value of herders' reports of rinderpest in relation to the time since the outbreak of the infection.
